Our team member will call you the day before surgery to go over eating instructions and the finalized surgery times. If surgery is on a Monday, expect a call Sunday evening – if surgery is on a Tuesdays, expect a call Monday evening, etc. Following are general guidelines for surgery, for specific questions or concerns please contact our team before surgery day.

  • Clear liquids – 2 1/2 hours prior to surgery – Any liquid you can see through, such as water, Pedialyte, apple juice, and other clear juices. No orange juice.
  • Breast Milk – 4 hours prior to surgery. This means the last feeding needs to end at the 4 hour mark, not begin.
  • Formula Milk – 6 hours prior to surgery. This means the last feeding needs to end at the 6 hour mark, not begin.
  • Light Meals – 6 hours prior to surgery. This means the meal needs to end at the 6 hour mark, not begin. Nothing fatty: no eggs, bacon, or sausage.
  • Heavy Meals – 8 hours prior to surgery. This means the meal needs to end at the 8 hour mark, not begin.

For patients 10 years and older: Food and liquids should be stopped 6 hours before surgery. If you the patient currently takes medications, check with the anesthesiologist about which medications to take on the day of surgery when they call you the evening before surgery.

Telemedicine Consultations : If you can’t travel from distant area and you want consultation for your child, please let us know. We have telehealth options for patients that live too far to travel to our clinic for one visit. You can choose to have a video conference and we will make sure that all arrangements are done. Then our doctors can give you advice through Telehealth program.

When your child is in hospital, you will be given a room that can accommodate one to two persons along with the child. If you are coming for a consultation or Bowel Management Program from another city, you might need a residence.

There are many hotels available nearby the clinic, with varying rents and charges.

Our Reception staff can help you in getting some hotel at a nominal price as we have requested some of them to give subsidized rates to our patients and their families. For more information, please contact Mr.Shams

As per our hospital’s policy, all of your records can be provided to you or your primary physician. All we need is a signed medical records consent form the doctor who needs the records, and that doctor’s email address! If you would like them for your records, we’re happy to email them to you, just let us know which email address you prefer!
